Silent Pool (near Albury and Newlands Corner) is a popular tourist spot in the Surrey Hills with a lot of history: Chalk springwater, Neolithic stones, Palm Sunday Fair, early tourism, painting and photographs, Stephan Langton and a drowned maiden.
