Please note that our meeting on 8 September will be at Shalford Village Hall - Kings Road, Shalford GU4 8BQ - in the Tillingbourne Room (to the left of the main entrance). Map here. There is free car parking at the Village Hall. The change of venue is because of an event at St Mary's Church. All our subsequent meetings are planned to be at St Mary's as normal.

We are a group of amateur historians with a range of interests in the history of the local area and further afield. We meet twice a month during the main part of the year at St Mary the Virgin Church, Shalford, with occasional meetings at other venues. During the summer months, we hold outdoor meetings with activities including walks and visits. Our members sometimes give short talks on a subject of their choosing in our members’ mornings.
